Photos and videos deleted from the app are moved to the system Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for 30 days. They still occupy storage until that album is emptied.

To reclaim the space immediately, open the Apple Photos app → Albums → Recently Deleted → Delete All. The storage figures in iOS Settings may also take a few minutes to refresh.

This almost always means the app only has access to a selected subset of your library. Open iOS Settings → Phone Cleaner → Photos and choose All Photos, then reopen the app and scan again.

Similar-photo grouping, blur detection and on-device image recognition analyse your pictures one by one, so a large library takes longer. Keep the app in the foreground and, ideally, connected to power. Results are cached, so returning to the same screen later is much faster.

Within every group of similar photos or videos, the app scores each item on factors such as sharpness and resolution, and marks the highest scoring one as Best. It is excluded from one-tap cleanup by default, so you always keep one copy. You can override the selection manually at any time.

Nothing is deleted without your confirmation, and everything that is deleted goes to Recently Deleted, so you have 30 days to restore it. We still recommend reviewing the selected items before confirming.

No. Compression creates a new video in your library and leaves the original untouched. Once you have checked that the compressed version looks good, delete the original yourself to actually free up the space.

Compression continues in the background, so you can leave the screen while it runs.

For security reasons the passcode is never transmitted or stored anywhere we can read, so it cannot be recovered or reset — not by you and not by our support team. Please keep it somewhere safe, and enable Face ID / Touch ID as a convenient backup unlock method.

Everything stored inside the app is removed with it. That includes all items in the Photo Vault and all contact backups, which cannot be recovered afterwards.

Before uninstalling, move Photo Vault items back to your photo library and use Export on any contact backup you want to keep. Your subscription is not affected — reinstall and tap Restore.

Voice input needs two permissions. Open iOS Settings → Phone Cleaner and turn on both Microphone and Speech Recognition. You can also change the recognition language with the globe button next to the microphone inside the app.

Picking a style in the app only saves your choice; playback is triggered by an iOS automation.

1. In Phone Cleaner, open Charging, choose a style and tap Set Animation.
2. Open Apple's Shortcuts app → Automation tab.
3. Create a new personal automation with the Charger trigger, set to Is Connected.
4. Add the Phone Cleaner action that plays the charging animation.
5. Turn off Ask Before Running and save.

Repair credits refresh at the start of each subscription period — weekly for the weekly plan, yearly for the yearly plan. The repair screen shows your remaining credits and the exact date they reset.

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, so they must be cancelled in your Apple account rather than in the app:

1. Open the iOS Settings app.
2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
3. Select Phone Cleaner and tap Cancel Subscription.

To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current billing period ends. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Open the subscription screen (crown icon, top right of the home screen) and tap Restore in the top-right corner. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase and that you have a working internet connection.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and select the purchase. If Apple needs supporting information from us, contact our support email and we will assist.

A subscription removes all advertising and unlocks the members-only actions: running cleanups launched from the AI Cleaner, one-tap cleanup of similar videos, restoring and exporting contact backups, and a monthly allowance of AI Photo Repair credits. Scanning, browsing and manual deletion remain free.
